From Sketchbook to Garment

Every piece begins somewhere — sometimes with a little doodle, a colour, or a feeling.

Before a garment finds its way into someone's wardrobe, it begins as an idea.

At Sunnbloom, that journey often starts with a sketchbook. Pages filled with silhouettes, little notes, colour experiments and endless possibilities. Some ideas come from a fabric we stumble upon, some from a detail we can't stop thinking about, and others simply from a feeling we'd love to translate into something wearable.

Then comes the fun part, bringing those ideas to life.

We explore fabrics, play around with textures, refine silhouettes and work through the little details that make each piece feel complete. Sketches turn into patterns, patterns take shape, and slowly, what once existed only on paper begins to become something real.

Of course, the journey isn't always a straight line. There are changes, little surprises, a few do-overs and moments when the final piece turns out even better than we imagined.

And that's the beauty of creating.

Because behind every finished garment is a process filled with thought, patience, creativity and a whole lot of love.

From the first pencil stroke to the final stitch, every piece carries a little story of its own.

And this is how a little idea becomes a Sunnbloom piece. 🌼
